This is a Japanese form of art. It use very little FPS (Frames Per Second) in animation compared to normal cartoons. Manga is mostly the drawn art, and anime is mostly animated. (Duh!) Often in these the boys ususally have long hair and look like girls, but not all the time.  Often the expressions are easy to tell. When they are embarrased or depressed they have a sweatdrop. And even more they have very shiny eyes. You can see reflections of light many places on their eyes. They have very tiny noses. Often people will draw chibi characters.(pictured above) They are tiny versions of normal manga. The chibi has very big eyes, tiny legs, and ovals as hands. Back to normal manga. They often hace lots of bangs. In the drawn type, you read from right to left. I also have noticed that manga/anime always seem to be fantasy mixed in with real life. They also have long pointy hair.
